How we create the setting for an event
Every event begins with an idea. But turning that idea into a real atmosphere requires process, vision, and a lot of craftsmanship.
, from the initial proposal to the final assembly.
The starting point: the proposal
In this case, the client was clear that they wanted a Japanese style. With that basis defined, we got down to work.
There are always three fundamental elements before designing:
- The idea or concept of the event
- Images and characteristics of the space
- The available budget

Knowing the budget does not limit creativity; it guides it. It allows us to design a coherent, balanced, and realistic proposal.
On other occasions, we decide on the style together with the client. It may be influenced by the season—Christmas, summer—
or by the type of event. Sometimes the vegetation guides the proposal rather than a specific theme.
When we work with a theme associated with a specific area, such as Japan in this case, that culture already has its own plant and aesthetic language.
We draw inspiration from these references, always bearing in mind that our creations do not depend on the climate or maintenance to remain
in perfect condition throughout the event.
The inspiration phase
Once the Japanese line was defined, we began our search for inspiration.
We compiled visual references, atmospheres, compositions, materials, and structures that fit the concept.
We shared these inspirations with the client to ensure that we were all on the same page.

From blueprint to reality
With a clear aesthetic line, we worked on the spatial plan. We designed the layout to create a fluid and coherent experience:
- Focal points
- Heights
- Visual tours
- Location of plant parts
This allows us to imagine how the space will be experienced before producing it. We adjust the pieces, define volumes, and finalize the proposal.

Craftsmanship in the workshop
Once the proposal has been confirmed, one of the most important parts begins: the workshop.
Each plant piece is created one by one, entirely by hand.
We select materials, work on volumes, and take care of every detail so that the result is faithful to the initial concept.
This is where the idea begins to become tangible.
The assembly: when everything comes to life
Finally, the assembly team is responsible for transporting and installing each element at the event venue.
And that is when the entire process—from idea to execution—comes to fruition.
What began as a Japanese-inspired proposal has been transformed into a real, coherent, and immersive experience.
From idea to reality
Each setting is a journey:
Concept → Inspiration → Design → Production → Assembly.
At the Alfonso Mira Gastronomic Event, the result was a space that complemented the culinary experience without competing with it,
creating a harmonious and carefully crafted atmosphere.
