We talked to... Susi

Tell us a little about yourself.

When did you start working at Green+Decorum and how did you get here?
I started in 2016 making Fallera bouquets. I knew Rosa, the mother of a friend of my son's, and through them she suggested me to start. It was all new to me, especially working with preserved flowers and trees, but little by little I was learning.

What values do you think best define the company and why do you identify with them?
I started as a warehouse assistant, which was fun for all of us. Over time I gained responsibility and now I am the one who organizes the work that arrives at the workshop, distributing tasks among my colleagues.

How would you describe your day-to-day work in the workshop?
I receive the orders, organize them and make sure the team is clear about what needs to be done. I like to see how everything is taking shape.

What has it meant to you to work in this company?
It has meant a lot. I have done things I never thought I would be able to do. I am very grateful for having found this job and for everything I have learned.

What did you like most about your work?
Everything! Being with my colleagues, organizing orders, seeing what a finished job looks like and saying: "How cool it looks! I wouldn't know how to choose just one thing.

The evolution of Green+Decorum

How have you seen the company evolve?
A lot. There are more and more of us, we do impressive jobs for restaurants, terraces, shopping malls... If the company is growing, it's because we are doing it right.

What values do you think define Green+Decorum?
Attention to detail, patience and a personal touch. Here we don't work in a chain. Even if we make similar trees or murals, each person leaves his or her mark, and so does the team!

Looking ahead

What would you tell someone new to the workshop?
Not to be in a hurry. Work calmly and take care of what you do. The important thing is not to finish quickly, but to finish well. And not to get frustrated, everything is learned with patience.

How do you feel now that you are retiring?
I have mixed feelings. I am excited to start this new stage in my life, but I am taking many fond memories with me. I have traveled and learned a lot.

What message would you like to leave for the team?
Thank you. Thank you for teaching me, for being patient, for accompanying me. I leave with a full heart.
