An encounter with design and vegetation at Feria Hábitat Valencia

Last week, we sought inspiration at the Habitat Fair. This visit is essential for learning about trends and where the sector is headed. Coinciding with the fair, Iberflora was also held, an event focused on the world of natural plants, which we also attended to discover the latest developments in the field of natural vegetation.

Among the most notable species, the olive tree ranks as one of the favorites, both in artificial and natural designs, thanks to its consistency and unique shapes that make it a star trunk.

Iberflora: large natural logs

During our visit, we met companies that could provide us with these unique pieces, as well as new options that could enrich our offering. We work with many natural logs, and olive wood stands out as one of the most sought-after and unique pieces for special designs, thanks to its robustness and distinctive characteristics that add an exceptional touch to any project.

Our plants at Habitat

At the Habitat Fair, we were present at two stands: Annook Contract Solutions and Dugar Home. Annook opted for an impressive red maple tree that winds its way through and forms part of the stand's entrance. There was also a variety of green planters arranged throughout the space, acting as dividers and adding color to an area dominated by natural tones.

Dugar Home, with a design by Salamandra interior design, broke with traditional forms by incorporating natural olive branches arranged abstractly on the walls. Its stand, predominantly in shades of pink, was enhanced by the fuchsia of the bougainvillea, which was subtly integrated into the upper part of the bar area, creating a striking feature without being invasive.

The vegetation present: trends in artificial and natural elements

It was an excellent opportunity to observe current design trends and note how vegetation has become an essential element in stand decoration, making visits more pleasant and enriching for attendees. Plants bring liveliness, color, and dynamism to spaces, and the olive tree continues to be one of the standout features in these environments.

We also discovered options for artificial pieces, which we found very motivating. These alternatives are especially useful in temporary events, where a natural tree may not thrive in less than ideal conditions. Artificial pieces maintain their aesthetics and freshness, providing a viable solution for future presentations. We loved seeing more varied and subtle plant compositions, where vegetation not only serves a decorative function but also blends harmoniously into the overall design of the stand, giving the space a unique character.

Inspiration in branding and graphic design

We also took advantage of the fair to draw inspiration from graphic design and brand creation. We are currently in the process of transforming our image, and each brand offered us a valuable lesson in how to convey its essence in small spaces. We were particularly struck by a couple of stands, Actiu, an office furniture manufacturer, and Estiluz, a decorative lighting company, which dedicated part of their space to showcasing the production process. Through large printed photographs and materials, they showed what the creation process is like.

At Green+Decorum, we are committed to this change of image towards greater transparency, where we address users and customers in a friendly manner, as we believe that understanding and valuing the work behind each project is essential.

Conclusion: a broad source of inspiration

In summary, this experience has given us a broad perspective, both in the short and long term. With valuable contacts, fresh information, and endless ideas to consider for future projects. It has been inspiring in every way, and that is why we wanted to leave a small sample of what this visit has meant to us.
