Prime Video's new series Su Majestad has turned some of Madrid's most iconic locations into key settings. One of these is the Caluana restaurant, located in the heart of the city, where Green+Decorum has had the pleasure of contributing its expertise in artificial vegetation for restaurants, creating unique compositions tailored to the identity of each of its rooms.
Although Caluana has several unique spaces, the main hall, El Olivar, takes center stage. It is an architectural gem under a spectacular dome that impresses from the very first moment. In this majestic space, our large artificial olive trees stand out, bringing naturalness, elegance, and character, in perfect harmony with the history that surrounds every corner.
El Olivar, living history in the form of a salon
El Olivar maintains its classic style, with an impressive Baroque barrel vault decorated with exquisite plasterwork and gold leaf. In this room, our artificial olive trees take center stage: they give the space its name and rise elegantly, enveloping the walls and creating a unique botanical atmosphere. Their silhouette complements the historic architecture of the hall, enhancing the stately atmosphere without competing with the majesty of the whole.
This venue, located where the old Madrid Stock Exchange once stood and later the Church of Santa Cruz, offers a visual experience that leaves no one indifferent. If you are looking for a charming place, this venue is the perfect space for a dinner surrounded by history and sophistication. A clear example of how to use artificial vegetation in restaurants to achieve aesthetic and functional impact.

Each room has its own identity
In addition to El Olivar, Caluana has other carefully designed spaces that reflect the diversity of Mediterranean cuisine and culture. In each space, we have worked with selected artificial species—from hanging vines to creepers and shrubs—seeking to reinforce the personality of each room. The vegetation is integrated as another architectural element, adapting to the light, furniture, and existing décor.
Each room is a distinct sensory journey, where vegetation not only decorates but also provides narrative coherence: it connects contemporary design with the building's historical tradition and turns every corner into an immersive experience for visitors.
Artificial vegetation in restaurants: aesthetics and functionality
The project in Caluana is an example of how well-designed artificial vegetation can transform a restaurant into a unique space. Requiring no maintenance, our projects guarantee durability and practicality without compromising on aesthetic realism. Monumental olive trees, climbing plants, and wall compositions have made it possible to create environments with great personality, while respecting the restaurant's daily needs.
At Green+Decorum, we believe that plant decoration in the hospitality industry should go beyond the ornamental: it should become an element that adds value to the customer experience. Caluana is a clear example of how vegetation can add history, style, and warmth to a landmark space.
A project that combines tradition, architecture, and nature, taking plant decoration to a new level.
